We seek children who plant and grow the saplings in Japan and abroad. For those who wish to grow the sapling(s), please do the following.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"onegai\">\n<li><span class=\"underlineYellow\">Find a place for the sapling(s) of the bombed kaki tree to plant and take good care<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"underlineYellow\">Organize the &#8220;Meet the KAKI&#8221; tree planting ceremony with children and your community.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"underlineYellow\">Hold workshops and events on the theme of peace with children at the tree planting ceremony (in any style with any contents).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"underlineYellow\">Organize the &#8220;Think Peace Day&#8221; event on the planting anniversary to continue study sessions on peace.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"underlineYellow\">Organize &#8220;The Harvest of KAKI&#8221; event 10 years after planting to celebrate the growth of the tree(s) and children.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"bold simekiri\">Deadline for Applications from Abroad is 30th April,<br \/>\nfrom within Japan is 30th September, every year.<br \/>\nArrival of the Saplings: February &#8211; March in the Following Year<br \/>\nBest Planting Time: March &#8211; April in the Following Year<\/p>\n<p>Those who wish to plant the kaki tree, please apply using the application form.If there are too many applications, the Executive Committee will decide next year&#8217;s planting sites and inform you.<br \/>\nFrom 14 December 2019 onwards, EU regulations on plant imports have been changed and the import of persimmon trees from Japan has been prohibited.<br \/>\nFor this reason, KAKI TREE EUROPE in Italy will be in charge of planting trees in the EU.<\/p>\n<div class=\"btShokuju\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kakitreeproject.com\/english\/?page_id=6202\" style=\"margin: 0 10px 10px;\">Application Form &#8211; EU<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/kakitreeproject.com\/english\/?page_id=6147\" style=\"margin: 0 10px;\">Application Form &#8211; Outside EU<\/a><\/div>\n<p class=\"bold simekiri\">We are also looking for volunteer staff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saplings from a kaki tree, which survived the Nagasaki atomic bombing on 9th August 1945, were produced by Mr. Masayuki Ebinuma, an arborist.
