Ms. Tiziana Volta has initiated a number of plantings, including at <\/span>Ristorante \u201cCastello Malvezzi\u201d in Giuseppe, Brescia, Italy (21 February 2009), Scuola secondaria di primo grado Giosue Carducci in L\u2019Aquila, Italy (2 April 2011), as well as three plantings in 2012 at Parco San Giovanni in Trieste (14 April), Conservatorio Botanico della Valle D\u2019Itria in Brindisi, Italy (24 April), and the Garden of Peace and Hope for Kabul at the \u201dKabul National Gallery\u201d in Kabul, Afghanistan (9 June). She was looking for the appropriate planting sites for the tree of peace with conditions of “bringing peace or contributing to plant diversity,” and has yet again found the suitable places. This year she has chosen three sites, namely, Lorusso and Cutugno Prison in Torino,\u00a0 Amphitheater of the Peace in Venaus and Park Sarah in Riace.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/a><\/a><\/a>Venaus is a typical village located on the outskirts of the Alps where there is only one main road. The road, built by Napoleon, is situated on the hill of Moncenisio, which was used to be in the French territory before 1806, and spans across the communities of<\/span><\/a> Valley Susa and Val Sangone.<\/span><\/p>\n The road attracted people’s attention both inside and outside the country from November to December 2005 because they developed “No TAV” movement here. It was to oppose securing the premises for the construction of the high speed transport (train) between Torino and Lyon. Although there were some clashes, thanks to the efforts of Mayor Nilo Durbiano, <\/span>Artistic Polyvalent Center was founded. <\/span><\/p>\n The place suffered from floods in May 2008, and sediment was carried in by water. Because of that, the mayor decided to build the <\/span>Natural Amphitheater at this place where international arts activities were held for some time. The Amphitheater proudly imposes appearance into the Mount Rocciamelone, which is beloved by the residents of the Susa Valley. On the wall at the corner of the stage, a recess was built in the wall to plant the kaki tree from Nagasaki.
