As Cansorzio Travolo Della Pace Franciacorta – Monte Orfano took the lead in organizing, tree plantings at six municipalities in the Province of Brescia were realized and to round up a series of tree plantings that took place in the Province of Brescia, they organized a tree planting in the open space adjacent to Convento dell’ Annunciata. As Cansorzio Travolo Della Pace Franciacorta – Monte Orfano took the lead in organizing, tree plantings at six municipalities in the Province of Brescia were realized. One of the sites was a park in the city of Castegnato, wherein Cansorzio Travolo Della Pace Franciacorta – Monte Orfano is based. The park lies adjacent to Scuola Primaria E. De Amicis and the nursing home for older people. As Cansorzio Travolo Della Pace Franciacorta – Monte Orfano took the lead in organizing, tree plantings at six municipalities in the Province of Brescia were realized. One of the sites was Scuola Elementare Statele in the city of Leno. A welcoming mood was created at the primary school as they hung a big banner with a message “To the world without nuclear weapons” written on in Japanese and orange balloons from the ceiling as well as decorated with origami cranes. As Cansorzio Travolo Della Pace Franciacorta – Monte Orfano took the lead in organizing, tree plantings at six municipalities in the Province of Brescia were realized. One of the sites was the nursing home for older people “Evaristo Almici” in the city of Rezzato. When Mr. Ebinuma and others arrived, a lot of people such as children from elementary and middle schools nearby and neighbors already gathered and gave them a big welcome together with the mayor of Rezzato. As Cansorzio Travolo Della Pace Franciacorta – Monte Orfano took the lead in organizing, tree plantings at six municipalities in the Province of Brescia were realized. One of the sites was Scuola Media Statale “Leonardo da Vinci.” Prior to the tree planting ceremony, peace march started from Istituto Comprensivo “Don Milani.” Children from Milani Primary School hung handmade cards around the neck and all of them held a big flag with dimensions of about 30m x 20m, and marched through the city being led by policemen and following Mr. Ebinuma, who held the seedling, to the planting site. Volunteers from the executive committee of “Ogaki Expo in 2000”, after 400 years from that battle. held in Ogaki City in 2000 set up the “O-kaki Project Executive Committee” and are promoting the Kaki Tree Project to elementary schools and junior high schools in Ogaki City. The city of Porto, Portugal, has a sister city relationship with the city of Nagasaki since 1978. As a symbol of the sister city relationship and to remember the atomic bombing as well as to express its solidarity with the city of Nagasaki, the city of Porto applied for the project through the Japanese Embassy in Portugal. Puerto Rico’s annual mean temperature is about 25 degrees Celsius and there is one rainy season and one dry season annually. The person who applied for the project was artist Ms. Elias Adasme Apablaza. As Ms. Elias took the lead, Puerto Rico Museum of Contemporary Art, Amnesty International Puerto Rico and several other cultural agencies cooperated and joined, and proceeded with the preparations for the tree planting to be held at the garden of the museum. Kreuzlingen is a beautiful city located on the Bodensee, on the border with Germany, about 60 km away from Zurich. The person who applied for the project is Ms. Colina A. Blanco W., who learned about the Kaki Tree Project on the BBC website and discussed plans of workshop and planting site with her friend, Mr. Walter Bartschi. Istituto Comprensivo “G.B. Niccolini” learned about the Kaki Tree Project from a person in Poggibonsi, Italy where the tree planting took place on 1st of April 2000 and they wanted to have the tree planted in their city as well, so Mr. Andrea Famiglietti, principal of the school, and Ms. Sonia Pieraccioni, project leader, applied for the project. As Mr. Shinichi Yano, art instructor at Kakinomi Kindergarten in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, where the tree planting took place on 13th of May 2005, introduced the project to Yokohama Civic Art Gallery Azamino Preparation Office, the project at Yokohama Civic Art Gallery Azamino was realized. Mr. Jonathan Adamson of Place heard about the Kaki Tree Project from Mr. Bruce Allan, who organized the tree planting ceremony on 15th of March 2002 in Gloucester, UK, and applied for the project to be held at Nagasaki Hiroshima Memorial Site at Edgerton Cemetery Place has been promoting a monument at this memorial site on behalf of public institutions and has been active with the support from cemetery association of the local government.
