March 2014. People gathered at Teatro Civico (Civilc Theater) and first the musical band played the welcome song. Then speeches by the village chief, councilor for public education followed, and a concert by the middle school students who take music courses. Afterward, people walked in procession carrying the kaki tree from the Teatro Civico to Parco del Municipio (Public Park). The tree was planted in the park, and children read their essays of how they felt about the tree-planting.
The town officials will take care of the tree, and they will pass on “peace” to primary and middle school children through the tree.
