The kaki tree planting took place on 26 February 2007 at Karako Elementary School in Higashi-Matsuyama city. They held workshops by Artist Anken Kidani every autumn since then as a peace study session for the third-grade pupils. Following is about the workshop held on 17 November 2015 at the school. Planting Ceremony: Public park of Ficulle
The Planting Ceremony at a park in Ficulle was held on 25 April, which is the anniversary of the end of the war in Italy. Children in Kindergarten participated in the ceremony. They made flags with their wishes for peace, and decorated them around the Kaki tree. Children wore orange T-shirts, and made orange flags, and the whole village was covered in Orange. One of the applicant, Paola (an ceramic artist) created the beatiful “Peace-path”, and people in the village were able to make their own “Peace-seeds” with clay for the path.
Planting Ceremony: Barrak’s Lane Community Garden (Oxford, U.K.)
The sapling of the bombed Kaki Tree was planted in “Barrak’s Lane Community Garden” in Oxford, UK.Many Local people and their children participated to the ceremony, for 2015 is the seventieth anniversary of the end of World War Ⅱ. There were also members of the COFEPOW(a charity to perpetuate the memories of the Far East prisoners of war)too. There were Koto performance, reading of poems and a chorus group sang ‘An Irish Blessing’ on the first half of the ceremony. The later half was the Reiki Blessing(spiritual practice) lead by Ama from Oxford Reiki group. Everyone placed a pebble around the tree with they’re wishes for peace.
Romberg Park Botanical Garden Planting Ceremony (Dortmund, Germany)
In 2000, Dortmund city has founded the Place of Hiroshima, and planted a Ginkgo tree that has survived the bombing. Also, they are supporting a campaign to finance holidays for children of Fukushima. The Planting took place at Romberg Park Botanical Garden in Dortmund. Founded in 1820, this botanical garden is one of the largest gardens in Europe, with rare trees, and numerous kinds of flowers. The bombed Kaki Tree Jr. was planted at a special place in this beautiful park on 21st of May. Margret, who applied for the planting organized the ceremony with peace activists.
Elemantary School “Elvira Vatovec” Planting Ceremony

Strunjan is situated in the central part of the Slovene coast and adjacent to the bilingual area on the border of Italy and Croatia. The Strunjan valley where nature is protected, is known for the traditional salt-making with saltpans and agriculture. The valley, which is located in a remote area, is also known for its kaki production. The application for planting came through Ms.Tiziana Volta in Italy. Pavia is an important town near Milan, Italy, where historical architectures and monuments remain. The applicant, Prof. Dario Molinari, saw the exhibit of the Kaki Tree Project in 1999 at the Venice Biennale and have wanted to participate in the Project since. Scuola elementare “Beato Luigi Palazzolo” Planting Ceremony

They applied for planting in 2012 through Mr. Rosario Scollo, who applied for planting in Sicily, Italy. Lentini is a mild-climate town on the island of Sicily, and orange tree is the symbol of the town. The Mayor of the town, Mother Superier, elementary school pupils and teachers attended the tree-planting ceremony on 14 April. The children read their poems, sang a song and made “Peace” drawings. After planting the kaki tree, the children released orange-color balloons with attached messages of written “Peace and Love.” All ate snacks together, and the day was quite significant for children as they learned intensely about “life” and expressed their gratitude to the tree.

FoBAP Onlus (Brescia Assistance Foundation for Psychological disorder, NPO) is an organization, which supports mentally-disabled persons. It was initiated and established by Anffas (National Association of Families of Persons with Intellectual and/or Relationship Disability). Tree-planting took place in the garden of Villa Zanardelli. Ms. Jennifer Isidore who applied for planting, is a social entrepreneur, and has been actively involved in the local community to promote grass-root peace movement.
